Summary
Born at Waldersee, MB, and deafened at 8 months from scarlet fever. Manitoba School for the Deaf 1933 until the building was taken over for the World War II effort in 1940; transferred to the Saskatchewan School for the Deaf, graduating 1944. Worked as a bakery assistant until marrying Laverne Ormal Foster, a teacher of the deaf in 1947. After raising a family, she worked in linen services at two hospitals before 1988 retirement.
