Summary
North Dakota School for the Deaf, 1903-graduation 1907; graduated Gallaudet College in 1912. Some mid-20th Century deaf publications mistook this deaf Carl A. Anderson for Carl [Thomas] Anderson, creator of the famous comic strip Henry that featured a mute (not deaf) boy. This erroneous claim was printed several times in the deaf press. In fact, Carl Thomas Anderson was hearing, and had already drawn comics for years when Carl A. Anderson first entered school.
