Summary
Born at Steinbach, MB and deafened at age 2 from scarlet fever. Attended the Saskatoon School for the Deaf and the Day School for the Deaf in Winnipeg, MB. Seamstress in a garment factory, 1961-1963, then employed in print shops 1963-1968 before taking 12 years off to raise a family. Returned to the workforce 1980; from 1988 onward, was a teacher's aide at the Manitoba School for the Deaf. Married James MacGregor, also deaf. Became Manitoba's first deaf female scuba diver in 1975, continuing in that until 1990. Active in her church, teaching Sunday school and occasionally subbing for the regular pastor.
