Summary
Born at Portgordon, Scotland; worked over 27 years for a bakery in Inverness. When he failed to show up for work one day, police discovered his nude and burned body in his apartment, where he lived alone. It was eventually discovered that he was a closeted gay man, and had picked up another man, George McGeogh (hearing) and they had gone back to Innes' apartment, where McGeogh stabbed and beat the smaller Innes, then burned the bedclothes in an attempt to destroy the evidence. Tried and found guilty, McGeogh had life imprisonment added to other sentences for many previous lesser convictions.
