Summary
Born at New Boston, IL; deaf at 18 months from brain fever. Went to the Missouri School for the deaf 1885-1889, then to the Iowa School for the deaf for 4 years, graduating in 1890. Moved to Topeka, KS and became a successful barber there. Married Vivie Eunice Buzzard, Iowa School graduate, in 1895.
