Summary
Born at Avon, MN; deafened by scarlet fever at age 2. Went to public school, then graduated from Minnesota School for the Deaf in 1950; B.A. (1955) from Gallaudet College; M.A. (1965) from California State University, Northridge; Ed.D. (1985) from University of Rochester. Administrator of various deaf programs 1965-1979. Conceived of and was instrumental in the founding of the South West Collegiate Institute for the Deaf, Big Spring, TX, in 1980. Retired in 1984 due to poor health; died at Big Spring.
