Summary
Born in Edmonton, Alberta; deaf at 16 months from spinal meningitis. Alberta School for the Deaf 1957-1974; while still in high school, signed a 5-year contract (1970-1975) with the Edmonton Huskies team in the Alberta Junior Football League. Left the team when he graduated high school, then went to Gallaudet College, playing on the college football team 2 seasons and graduating in 1982 with a B.S. Worked as a dormitory counselor at the Alberta School, as a jeweler, then as a fireplace technician. Hoped to return to the jeweller's trade.
