Summary
Born at Dennehotso, AZ; deafened between ages 3-5 from tuberculosis. Briefly attended the Indian boarding school at Dennehosto before entering the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind in 1960, graduating 1974. Fascinated with silversmithing, he learned the techniques from Navajo silversmiths and began producing his own work in a part-time jewelry-making business.
