Summary
Second wife of Samuel F.B. Morse, the inventor of the telegraph. Graduated the New York School for the Deaf (Fanwood); provided funds and encouragement for her husband's work on the telegraph. She is also said to have helped inspire Amos Kendall to establish a school for the deaf in Washington, DC, now the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School for the Deaf.
