Summary
Born at Tucson, AZ; deaf at age 1 from spinal meningitis; resident of Baltimore, MD since an early age. At age 11, transferred from a public elementary school to the Maryland School for the Deaf, graduating in 1988. While at MSD he was active in sports and refined his art interest and talent which had begun at age 4. Attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, graduating in 1992 with an AA degree. Worked as a production assistant for the magazine division of the National Trust for Historical Preservation, and on the side began a part-time graphic designing business. Drew many deaf-related cartoons for deaf publications.
