Staff director of the [U.S.] Commission on Education of the Deaf, then coordinator of a training program in the College of Continuing Education at Gallaudet University. Moved to Gallaudet's Business Administration department as a faculty member, then became director of an international project for the development and self-help of deaf people in other countries. Married Thomas Gregory "Greg" Harrison (also deaf) in 1999, but lost him in a 2002 automobile accident that also severely injured her. Retired from Gallaudet University in 2005.
