Summary
Born deaf at Sarnia, Ontario; attended the Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf, Belleville, 1960-1974, where he took up running. Continued to run after graduation, in the Canadian Post team and five times in the World Games for the Deaf, winning a gold medal in 1985, silver in 1981 and bronze in 1989. Trained and competed with the Ottawa Kinsmen Harriers, a hearing team, for 18 years. In Sept. 1993, a suburban Ottawa park was named in his honor. Worked as a letter carrier for Canada Post in Ottawa.
