Lee, Patty Pei-Lin

Came to the U.S. for schooling because the large classes in her native Taiwan could not accommodate a (mainstreamed) deaf student. In early high school, claimed to have had a near-death experience after being struck by lightning. Graduated Harrison-Chilhowee Baptist Academy, Knoxville, TN in 1987, and entered California State University-Northridge, majoring in interior design.
