Summary
First British born-deaf person to be ordained a Catholic priest. Born to deaf parents; attended St. John's School for deaf children at Boston Spa, Yorkshire; graduated Salford College of Technology in 1975, then 1 year of further study in the Electrical Engineering Dept. of Sheffield University. After his mother's death, he decided to become a priest, studying in Spain. Ordained a priest on May 31, 1982.
