Summary
At first, home schooled by her mother through the John Tracy Clinic correspondence course, then attended a small local part-time school for the deaf until 4th grade, when she was mainstreamed into a Catholic school. By 10th grade, it became too difficult to keep up in a hearing environment, and she transferred to the Model Secondary School for the Deaf in the U.S., graduating in 1988. Entered Gallaudet University.
