Summary
Deaf at 2 from scarlet fever; went to the Ontario Institution for the deaf 1889-1897. First worked on his father's farms, then co-ownere of another until 1906, then he moved west, working for other farmers. 1907, he married Rose (Rosa) Ann Moore, and the next year acquired his own homestead near Cupar, ON, but abandoned it only 2 months later for reasons unknown..He and his family moved around a lot after that, he doing a variety of work including farming, poultry raising, construction work, tire factory work, and coal worker. Died at Vernon, British Columbia.
