Summary
Attended a Jewish school for the deaf in Budapest, Hungary. Caught by the Nazis after the German takeover of Czechoslovakia, she and other Jewish relatives were deported to a concentration camp, from which they were liberated by British soldiers 5 months later, in spring 1945. Postwar, she lived in Sweden, then emigrated to the U.S. in 1948, settling in Brooklyn, NY.
