Summary
Born in Oklahoma; deafened as an infant from a fall. Entered the Oklahoma School for the Deaf at age 7 in 1937, graduating in 1951. Worked in a leather crafts company for 5 years, then worked for an electrical company 2 years until laid off, then made Indian crafts and drawings, selling them at various local deaf events. Also involved in a local muzzle-loading rifle club among hearing members. Married a non-Indian hard-of-hearing woman.
