Summary
Born deaf at North Vancouver, BC. Attended several mainstreamed public schools as well as the Jericho Hill School for the Deaf. B.S. from Gallaudet College in 1976 plus a Canadian teaching certificate in 1977 and an M.A.. from Western Maryland College. Elementary school teacher and coach at E.C. Drury School for the Deaf 1977-1988, the became an itinerant preschool educator working out of the same school for the next 10 years. Also taught at the Smithson School (Kitchener, ON), at the Learning Center for Deaf Children (Framingham, MA), and part-time at the Horace Mann School for the Deaf (Boston, MA).
