Huffstater, L. D.

Born at Ellisburg, NY; went to the New York Institution for the deaf at Rome, graduating 1894. Became interested in photography during his school years, and took some courses from a local professional. After leaving school, practiced in a professional photography studio, then struck out on his own in Ellisburg, eventually opening branch studios in nearby towns.
