Summary
Born deaf at Garay, Viscaya, Spain; grew up in Madrid where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando; also studied for a time at the Julian Academy, Paris. Lived for a time in South America, but mainly resided in Madrid, where he died. Younger brother of Valentin de Zubiaurre, also a deaf painter.
