Summary
Graduated South Dakota School for the Deaf in 1949. In 1972, was the first deaf person in SD to be a registered softball umpire; officiated hearing and deaf softball games, including national championships, for almost 20 years until his death. Also officiated (hearing) baseball, football, and soccer games. Honored by the Amateur Softball Association of America.
