Hearing. Catholic patron saint for deafness, cramps, and glandular disorders. Also known as Cadvael, Cathmael, and Docus. A priest who studied in Wales and Ireland, but mostly lived and worked on an island off the coast of Brittany (France) during the 6th Century AD; returned to Britain and was martyred by Saxons near Weedon, England.
