Born at Los Angeles to deaf parents; California School for the Deaf, Berkeley 1942-1952. Attended Gallaudet Colelge for 3 years. Married Bernice Hoare about 1955. Worked 12 years as a printer at the Oakland [CA] Tribune, then changed careers to become a printing instructor at the Oregon School for the Deaf, then returned to CSDB as a graphic arts teacher in 1975. Active in local, state and national deaf organizations. Co-founder of Camp Taloali for the Deaf in Stayton, OR.
