Summary
Born at Ft. Wayne, IN; attended the Indiana School for the Deaf; graduated Gallaudet College (B.S., 1942). Worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber as an analytical chemist for over 43 years before retirement, eventually becoming a Senior Chemist and department supervisor. Active in local, stte, and national deaf organizations, including co-founding the Ohio Association of the Deaf, president of Telecommunications for the Deaf, Inc., for 8 years, co-founder of Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, and president of the National Association of the Deaf 1968-1972.
