Born deaf at Allan, SK; Saskatchewan School for the Deaf 1956-graduation 1969 ; Gallaudet College 1969-1971, then transferred to St. Paul [MN] Technical Vocational Institute to earn a general office practice diploma. Worked at various civil service positions for the provincial governments of Saskatchewan and Alberta and at the University of Alberta. In 1988, became administrative secretary for the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf.
