Summary
Born deaf in Halifax, NS and went to the Interprovincial School for the Deaf, then to mainstreamed public high school, graduating 1982 and taking data-entry courses at Atlantic Technological Vocational Centre. More training at Durham College got her a certificate as an adult education teacher. Held a variety of positions, then married Robert Ryall and stayed at home for a few years to raise a family. Returned to the workforce as an ASL teacher.
