Summary
Born at Tanana, Alaska; attended the Washington State School for the Deaf 1955-1969. Struggled with alcoholism for many years, almost dying from it in 1994; that experience cured him from it. Appointed Chief of the Athabascan tribe in 2000; married Linda Anderson, also deaf, in 2001.
