Summary
Born at Avondale, CO; deaf at 6 months from spinal meningitis. Educated at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, graduating 1962, then took courses at Central Business College, Denver, CO. Worked in clerical positions in the telecommunications industry for 32 years before retirement in 1999. She did not discover her Native American roots until age 32, when she found she was descended from the famous Apache chief Geronimo.
