Summary
Born in Hoxne, Suffolk and became deaf at 3. Home schooled at first, then to the Royal School for the Deaf at Margate 1915-1920. Spent his entire working life at Roehampton Hospital, South London, making artificial limbs. Married Ivy Margaret Trendle (deaf) in 1930. Active in deaf clubs and deaf athletic events, including the 1930 World Silent Games in Nuremberg, Germany as a track and field competitor. Continued to be active in supporting international deaf sporting events after World War II. Died of cancer in London.
