Summary
Born at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; deaf from a series of colds and the mumps; Manitoba Institution for the Education fo the Deaf and Dumb 1908-1913, Kendall School 1913-1914, Gallaudet College 1914-1915, then graduated University of Saskatchewan 1915-1918. Taught at the Manitoba School for the Deaf for a year, then married a hearing man. In the late 1940s, began to become active in deaf community activities; first female president of the Western Canada Association of the Deaf. Died at Winnipeg, Manitoba.
