Summary
Born deaf at Tuscumbia, AL; Central Institute for the Deaf 1964-1976 and American School of Kuwait; graduated Deshler High School, Tuscumbia, AL, then attended NTID for a short time, transferred to Gallaudet College for a short time, ended up at the University of North Alabama where he got his BFA. MFA from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, 1990. Exhibited in Alabama, Tennessee, New York City, Rochester (NY), and Washington (DC); affiliated with Deaf Artists of America; artist-in-residence at Rowan County Middle School in Morehead, KY, 1993-1994 even though all his pupils were hearing.
