Summary
Deafened while in college; graduated from Jarvis Christian College. Earned a B.A. from Gallaudet College in 1966 and an M.A. from Howard University. Became the first Black deaf woman to earn a doctorate (Ed.D. in counseling, University of Rochester, 1992). Teacher at NTID.
