Summary
Born deaf; attended the Royal Institution for the Deaf and Dumb in Glasgow, Scotland 1897-1904; emigrated with his hearing family to Canada, then went to the Manitoba Institution for the deaf 1904-1911. Worked on his family's farms, then in 1909 acquired a farm of his own, but sold it to his father in 1925. Moved to Victoria, BC and married Jane Campbell in 1926. Probably the first deaf person in Saskatchewan to own and drive an automobile.
