Summary
Born in Chicago as Terrylene Theriot, deaf child of deaf parents; entered an oral school for the deaf at age 7, then several other schools for the deaf including the Texas School for the Deaf (age 9) and the California School for the Deaf, Berkeley (age 12) before mainstreaming into regular junior and senior high schools, finally transferring to and graduating the Model Secondary School for the Deaf (1984). First deaf student in Northwestern University's drama department. Appeared in various plays for hearing as well as deaf audiences. Uses her given name only, as a stage name; married surname is Sacchetti. Appeared in guest roles in the TV series Cagney and Lacey and Beauty and the Beast; wrote an original play, Imagine, starring George Segal, that was produced in London, England.
