Born deaf at Saint-Thomas de Joliette, Quebec; studied religion privately for 2 years before entering the novitate in 1878, taking her vows in 1880. Lived and worked in the Institution Catholique des Sourdes-Muettes in Montreal for the rest of her life in various tasks. Became blind also during her last 7 years of life.
