Grew up in San Pablo, CA; deaf at age 2 from a vehicle accident. Graduated from Western Oregon University in 1994 with an M.S. Certfied as a counselor by a national board in 1995. Program manager of three state telecommunications assistance programs under the Oregon Public Utility Commission. In 1997, she founded the part-time business AGO Gifts and Publications, located in Oregon, to provide opportunities for deaf as well as hearing writers to publish their books. Serves on the board of two deaf social service organizations. Married to Joseph Paris. Author or co-author of a few books.
