Born deaf at Willow Bunch, SK; her hearing parents were ignorant of deaf education opportunities, so she did not enter the Saskatchewan School for the Deaf until age 9, but graduated in 9 years anyway, 1948-1957. Worked as a sewing machine operator for a crest-making company for 26 years, then beginning 1983 was dietary assistant at the R.J.D. Williams School for the Deaf 1984-1991 until the school was closed, then she returned to commercial sewing for an embroidery company 1991 onward. Deaf spouse was John Storey.
