Summary
Deaf at age 3 1/2 from spinal meningitis; entered the California School for the Deaf, Berkeley in 1932 and graduated 1946, then graduated Gallaudet College. Became a cartographic draftsman with the U.S. Geographical Survey first in Menlo Park, CA and then in Arlington, VA. Retired in 1986.
