Lawford, Elizabeth

Deaf at 3 1/2 from measles; admitted into the Randall Place Deaf School, London, in 1906. Transferred to the Oak Lodge school in 1912 for 3 more years, learning the dressmaking trade. Went to work in the dressmaking department of a major London-based company.
