Graduate of Gallaudet University; M.A. in art history from Catholic University, 1976; Ph.D. in museum studies and deaf education, New York University. Professor of art history at Gallaudet University for many years until retirement. Recipient of many awards for teaching excellence. Instrumental in establishing and encouraging museum programs for the deaf.
