Summary
Born deaf at Vancouver, BC; orphaned at age 12 and raised by an aunt and uncle. Graduated a school for the deaf, then spent her entire working life as a civil servant with the federal Labour Canada department. Active in Canadian deaf organizations, including serving on the board of directors of the Canadian Association of the Deaf for 20 years and serving as CAD president for 4 years. Died from a heart attack follwed weeks later by a stroke and then heart failure. A brother, Jack Morrison, was also deaf.
