Summary
Hearing. Professor at the University of Groningen; in 1655, published a small book that generally cast doubt on the practicality of teaching deaf people, as a class, to speak and recommended the use of writing, signs, and occasional lipreading instead. The book was translated into English and republished in 1670, falsely attributed to "George Sibscota", 4 years after Deusing's death.
