Summary
Born at Soderkoping; entered the Manilla school for the deaf at Stockholm, graduating with training as a shoemaker. He never became a shoemaker, going instead into painting, then photography before finally becoming an engraver for several different companies in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In 1892, opened his own engraving workshop in Boras. One of the founders of the Boras association of the deaf in 1909, serving as its first chairman 1909-1920.
