Summary
Hearing. Held pastorates in Springfield, VT and Exeter, NH before coming to teach natural science and pedagogy at the National Deaf-Mute College (now Gallaudet University) in 1870, remaining for 29 years and retiring in 1899. Gave a collection of 1500 different seashells to the College's museum collection, said to have been donated to the Smithsonian Institution later.
