Summary
Born at Port Elgin, ON; attended the Mackay Institution for Protestant Deaf-Mutes, Montreal 1888-1897, the Kendall School for the Deaf 1897-1898, and Gallaudet College 1898-1903 (bachelor of philosophy). Moved to California and studied at Agricultural College, Cornell CA 1907-1908, then became an orange grower and farmer near Riverside. Later worked as an orange tree pruner and tree doctor for a fruit company; last known record of him was as a licensed tree specialist in 1948.
