Foster, Laverne Ormel

Born on a farm near Edam, Saskatchewan; progressively deafened ages 5-13; graduated Saskatchewan School for the Deaf, 1942, and in 1944 became a boy's supervisor and then teacher at the Saskatchewan school, remaining there as a vocational teacher until 1980. Ran a truck delivery service from 1980 until about 1989. Founding member of the Saskatoon Association of the Deaf and active in other Canadian deaf organizations.
