              Summary
              Became deaf at age 7 from meningitis; attended the Mary Hare Grammar School for the Deaf, Berkshire, and the Notre Dame School, Liverpool. In Sept. 1992, became head teacher, Heathlands School for the Deaf, the first deaf school head to be appointed in Britain in over 100 years.
