Summary
Born in TX. Partially deafened from chicken pox at age 15; lost more hearing at age 25 from artillery noise while serving in the Army during World War II. Pneumonia in 1951 then left him totally deaf. Went to regular high school, and graduated the University of Texas Law School. Worked as the chief law officer for two different Corpus Christi, TX banks, specializing in oil and gas law. Also founded and chaired the Executive Auditory Rehabilitation Society (EARS).
