Henderson, Columbus

A member of the first class (1855) in what is now the Iowa School for the Deaf. Born in Kentucky; attended the Iowa school for 5 years. He became an assistant teacher in the same school for most of a year, then went into farming together with his deaf brother James Henry Henderson (q.v.). Married classmate Sophrona Wellington (q.v.) in 1855.
